Pink Fire Pointer 2013

London!

Ok, yeah, it may be kind of last minute, as we're leaving tomorrow, but here's that preview i promised you!
Allan has been working lots of late nights to finish these sheets for the convention, so we hope you'll like them.
We will bring his flash from last year too, so whatever he didn't get to tattoo last year is still available too.
There may also be some originals for sale, so come by the booth and check them out.

Enjoy, and see you at the convention!

A little Wednesday update from Berlin

Hi there!
No real news today.
Well, there's always some news, right?

We're still working on our travel schedule, and finding out if we'll be home in November, or if we'll go to Japan.
Hopefully we'll find out this week, and i'll be posting about it here, of course.
A lot of people have requested appointments in November, so if you're one of them, keep an eye on the blog in the next few weeks.

But London in September is confirmed, and Uncle Allan will be working at the convention next to mr. Chriss Dettmer, doing flash on walk-ups as he's done the previous couple of years.
So no need to write us about booking an appointment at the convention, just show up, form a line if there's more than one of you, and see if there's anything you like.
I'll be posting sneak peeks of the flash he'll have available at the convention, assuming he doesn't finsih at the last minute, of course.

Wendy (wendy_p@live.com.au) and Matthew (matthewgordon@live.com.au) will not be going to London this year, so if you want to get work done by either of them that weekend, they'll be right here in Berlin, ready to tattoo you.
And if you wanna know about their availability on some other dates, just send me an email and i'll check it out.
Below are  few designs with no owners yet, but of course custom work of (almost) all styles and sizes is always an option too!

Oh, and we're actually adding another convention appearance to the calendar soon, so check back to see which convention it is.
Maybe it's near you!?

Our new web shop has had a great start (thank you all for that!) and some items have sold out already and others will soon, so take a look and see if there's something there you just can't live without.
We're working on a few new prints that will hopefully be added soon, and we also just finished setting up our screen printing area, so as soon as we have time to sit down and figure that shit out, expect homemade stuff to be added too!

Fun little Uncle Allan tattoo, just because!

Mmmmm, shopping...!

I am really excited to announce that we finally have a proper web shop where you can see, and purchase, prints, flash and other exciting products done by the artists of Conspiracy Inc!

It's still in the early stages, so lots more will be added soon, but we already have a bunch of limited and never before seen stuff for you to drool over, so please do that (although not too much, cause that can severely damage your keyboard... just some friendly advice).

Enjoy, and shop away!

We still have a merch page on this blog where you can see additional photos, so check that too!

Ps. We ship out orders once a week.

October Scapegoat Takeover!

Hey, i'm back with more guest artist news!
I know, so soon, it might be a little too exciting for y'all to deal with on a Monday, but you're just gonna have to, ok?
Here we go!

In October Brian Thomas Wilson and Aron Dubois from Scapegoat Tattoo in Portland will be guesting at the studio!
They're here from the 7th to the 10th and you should totally get tattooed by one of them.
Or both!

To book with Brian, send him an email at this address: btwilsontattoos@gmail.com
And to book with Aron, use this email: aronjohndubois@gmail.com
(And for general shop related questions, you can, as always, email me here: conspiracyinctattoo@gmail.com)

Scroll down to see examples of their work, and check out even more on Brian's blog here, and Aron's blog here.

Enjoy!

The return of Adam Hays

You may have already heard (or read) that Electric Pick is coming back to Berlin on October* to tattoo, but we actually have a few more guests visiting the shop this fall.

First up is Adam Hays, who some of our Copenhagen clients have already had the pleasure of getting tattooed by.
And now our German clients have the chance too!
Adam will be with us from October 2nd till the 4th (both days included) and if you'd like to book an appointment with him, just send him an email: adamguyhays@gmail.com.

Scroll down to see some of his recent tattoos, and go to his blog and instagram to see even more!

*No, he doesn't get a post of his own, cause he's always booked up before he can even finish the sentence "i'll be tattooing in Europe", but do check his blog or write him if you wanna hear about possible extra dates or cancellations.

Some almost, but not really, news about booking with Uncle Allan

So, last week on twitter, Allan dropped this little gem on his followers:

And while it's true we've been talking about changing the booking system, i wasn't quite done with the waiting list at that point, and i am still not done, as there are still quite a few people i have to contact before we move on to a new system.

When we came up with the idea for the separate email waiting list, i pretty much thought it was an idea of pure genius, mostly because i wouldn't have to answer emails with a "no, sorry, he's all booked up" every day.
And most people responded positively, and seemed to have nothing but the best intentions of waiting for as long as it'd take for them to get tattooed.
But the wait was apparently too long, and not everybody lived up to their promise of waiting patiently, and instead of letting us know they were no longer interested in getting tattooed, they'd simply not respond when offered an appointment.
Obviously changing your mind about getting tattooed is fine, and so is running out of patience, but not even replying to emails is pretty immature if you ask me, and kind of a ginourmous waste of time too.

The people who did reply, and who have now had their tattoos done, or will within the next few months, were of course awesome, and i think they're great for waiting around for so long to get tattooed, i'd just hoped there'd be a more reasonable repliers to non-repliers ratio!

So while i still think the waiting list idea is pretty great (seriously, it was, and not just because i came up with it, ahem!) we're gonna have to try something new. Or old, i suppose.

The plan for now is that within the next couple of weeks, i will contact the rest of the people currently on the waiting list and offer them a date to get tattooed.
And after that, we'll probably go back to the old ways of letting you all know here and on twitter/instagram when we're opening up for bookings.
Yeah. More emails for me, but hopefully we'll make some people happy about not having to sign up and wait indefinitely for an appointment!
We will stick to booking about 3-4 months at a time, cause that works best for us, and honestly, we never wanna be booked out years in advance ever again.
So yeah, those are the not-really-news-at-all of the day!
As a reward for reading my boring rant, you get a picture of a tattoo Uncle Allan (almost) finished yesterday.

In other non-news, it looks as if we'll finally get some home made cake next week.
Seriously, when did people stop bringing cake to their appointments, and more importantly, why?!
If all it is is a subtle hint about our weight, i gotta say, we are very offended!

Business as usual

Walk-in week was last week, and what a fun little experiment that was!
Some days were super busy, some not so much, but everyone got to do a bunch of fun tattoos (there was even an all skulls day!) and we met some rad people.
We'll definitely be doing it again some other time during the summer, possibly on a weekend, so feel free to drop a date request in the comments. Who knows, we might pick yours?

Anyway, we're back to normal, and i am currently booking from Uncle Allan's waiting list, so if you're on it, check your email, and possibly your spam filter.
And if you're not on it, now is the time to sign up!

And while i have your attention, if you have an unfinished piece in progress by Allan, how about sending me an email and getting booked in  to finish it?
You all know who you are, and yes, that was totally aimed at you!

Wendy and Matthew still have a bunch of cool designs they'd love to do, but they're of course also available for custom tattoos, just email conspiracyinctattoo@gmail.com to book with them.

That's it for now, please enjoy my sweet collection os straight-from-instagram photos!

June?!

Another birdhouse tattoo!
An underwater birdhouse seems about as likely to house actual birds
as the ones I've put in my yard.
(which, for the last four years, has remained completely bird-free)
My roof, however,
houses at least two nests every year.
Stupid birds.

So, I can't believe it's June.
I'll be traveling again soon,
and visiting Oregon in just two weeks.
I have a guest spot down in Grants Pass at Off the Map NW,
(and another appointment with Jeff Gogue on my front piece)
and then another guest spot at Scapegoat Tattoo in Portland
(and a first tattoo session on my back with Greggletron).
If that means anything to you,
you know i'm stoked.
If not, go click all those links.

Prouder

Tyler came from Spain to his old home of Minnesota for a sister's wedding,
and snuck in a full-day half-sleeve first-tattoo tattoo session.
For real.
8 hours or more.
One session.
Non-stop tattooing.
First tattoo ever.

He was well prepared,
and knew my 'state pride tattoo' rule
(and lived in a whole different country for extra bonus points).
He sat like a rock,
drank gallons of water,
and it was a super fun day.
(for me, not him)
(I think he hated it)

But yeah, we got it all in there.
A loon, lady slippers, a cardinal, acorns,
Norwegian pines, some geese, cattails,
and words.
There's a pinecone, too,
somewhere on the other side.
Minnesota, kids.
Love it, or leave it.
(or, leave it, and still love it)
Whatever, just don't get the Minnesota state outline only.

She's something special.

My buddy (and 2013 minneapolis tattoo convention boothmate)
Anthony Elliott is back in Minneapolis for a few days.
He's staying at the Louderhorn Inn while it's otherwise empty,
and working with me at Twilight Tattoo.
And today my rad client Josh let us do a collaborative tattoo on his thigh.
We drew separate parts, combined them, made changes,
and then took turns outlining, shading and coloring the tattoo.
I did the necklace and everything lower,
and he did the whole face and hair and everything.
And the antlers.
No kidding.
(they weren't even my idea)

It was super fun,
and the first time I've ever worked on a tattoo with someone else.
A big thanks to Josh for being such a trooper
and sitting like a rock for hours.
And for Anthony for coming down and hanging out in the big city.

June walk-in days!

Hey guys, we are excited to announce that we are having a summer walk-in week, our first one ever, from June 10th till June 15th, both days included!
We started out planning a walk-in day, but we decided to try a whole week to make it a bit easier for those with not-so-flexible jobs, and well, just because we can!
Why not, right?

Matthew and Wendy will prepare some flash, but they will also be able to do small custom pieces, as long as you don't mind waiting for the drawing, of course.
They'll post sketches and flash on their instagrams in the coming weeks, so you can have a sneak peek at what designs you'll have to choose from.

We'll be starting at 1 pm every day, and finish whenever we're finished.
Uncle Allan is unfortunately booked that week, but he promises he'll do the next walk-in week, whenever that'll be*!

We hope many of you will want to come by, check out the shop and get a sweet new tattoo!
Any questions? Email me at conspiracyinctattoo@gmail.com.

*And should anyone cancel during that week, he'll be ready with some rose flash, i'm sure :)

And one more time in German! (no, i totally didn't write that, i just have awesome German friends to translate for me, that's all):

Hey da draussen, wir sind total aufgeregt euch allen unsere Sommer-Walk-In-Woche zu verkünden!!!!
Unsere erste Walk-In-Woche überhaupt und diese findet vom 10.-15. Juni statt! Also 6 Tage Walk-Ins!!

Sneak Peek.

Jen came from Wisconsin a week ago
and got more work done on her Selkie leg sleeve tattoo.
I love this photo she took of the tattoo peeking through a hole in her jeans.

Getting it ALL done.

For real, though,
I've been busy lately.
I've been starting two new big projects
for every one that I finish.
This is some of the week's pieces:

This train was done in two sessions,
and this is half healed, half fresh (and hurty-looking).

Alli got her dog portrait finished,
and the upper-thigh-butt-crease-area hated me.
Look how hurty-swollen it got.
3/4 healed, 1/4 new and red.
I meant to take a better photo today at work,
but I forgot,
and so did she,
so this one goes up for now.

I started this owl-octopus morph thing holding a sacred pear today.
It's a big ass half sleeve,
and I'm pretty stoked on it.

Heidi has sky-rocketed to the top of the favorites list.
She not only knocked out the French pigeon in one shot a couple weeks ago,
but she came back in to finish the Smokey the Bear tattoo
on her other thigh this week.
Two big tattoos in a month.
I'm impressed.
She also gave me a fancy music stand to hold my ipad.
And she told me to get professional
and use a watermark on my photos
for when people use them on places like Pinterest .
Thus, the new watermark.
Thanks, Heidi!
This photo has the healed pigeon,
and the half healed, half new Smokey.

I have one day off,
(from tattooing only)
and then I'm back at it for another 6 days.
Luckily, I have hired a super part time assistant.
I'm going to get it all done, finally.
All of it.
